Larger Than Life: Reign of the Boy Bands, a new doc from Gunpowder & Sky, will premiere 11/12 on Paramount+.
The film explores the evolution of boy bands—from the inimitable influence of The Beatles and The Jackson 5 to the Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC explosion of the 2000s to the global rise of K-pop. Veteran videographer Tamra Davis directed.
Larger Than Life was produced by MTV Entertainment Studios in partnership with Gunpowder & Sky's Van Toffler and music manager Johnny Wright. Its executive producers include Gunpowder & Sky's Barry Barclay, Floris Bauer and Joanna Zwickel as well as MTV Entertainment Studio's Bruce Gillmer, Vanessa WhiteWolf and Michael Maniaci.
The picture furthers Gunpowder & Sky's unwavering commitment to telling "the ultimate stories of music’s biggest movements and icons." The company has released a trailer for the film. Watch it below while we work on our synchronized dance moves.
