Industry vet and renowned mensch Jim Burruss has hung up his own shingle and launched the promotion and marketing shop Burruss Consulting. His goal, he says, is “to guide artists and partners through what can often feel like a crowded, confusing landscape.”
“With years of experience developing and leading campaigns across all genres, I understand how vital hands-on expertise is,” reads a key excerpt from Burruss’ manifesto. “From coordinating all the moving parts to making sure everyone is working together, it’s this combination of skill and collaboration that elevates both the artist and those who support them. Our recent work at Columbia Records is a testament to this—empowering artists, strengthening teams, and transforming music.”
“It’s music first,” he adds, “because it must be.”
