The Black Music Action Coalition, in partnership with I Will Vote, has announced a bus tour called “It’s Your Fight… VOTE." Traversing the battleground state of Georgia, the campaign will see a series of events targeting young voters and encouraging early voting.
BMAC will also use the bus to bring a group of 50 student leaders to the Harris for President Rally with Barack Obama in Atlanta Thursday (10/24) and mount artist activations and engage voters at ONE Music Fest 10/26-27. Additional events include a 10/19 “Celebration of Democracy” brunch and panel with I Will Vote and the Rolling Sea Action Fund featuring BMAC CEO Willie “Prophet” Stiggers and the DNC’s Brencia Berry, among others.
Said Stiggers: “BMAC is aiming to educate, empower and engage with youth voters to drive systemic change. Georgia is going to be a key battleground again. Along with the historic nature of this election, we want the youth in Georgia to know their voice and vote might be the deciding factor that could change their lives and lives all across this country. Our mission is to make civic engagement at the local and federal level a priority for young people.”
