U.K. MIDWEEKS: SHED SEVEN VS. BRING ME THE HORIZON

Shed Seven (pictured) and Bring Me the Horizon are battling it out for the U.K.’s Official Albums #1 this week, while over on the singles tally, Sabrina Carpenter is still on top.

Shed Seven’s seventh set, Liquid Gold (Cooking Vinyl), is leading the albums charge at today’s halfway point. However, with Bring Me the Horizon's POST HUMAN: NeX GEn (RCA) just 600 chart units behind at #2, the race has not yet been won. The latter was released in May, when it reached #5, but has just arrived on physical formats.

Nines is expected to debut at #3 with what is said to be his final album, Quit While You’re Ahead (Zino). Ed Sheeran’s +-=÷× (Tour Collection) (Asylum) is anticipating a #5 debut. Ezra Collective could have its first U.K. Top 10 album with Dance, No One’s Watching (Partisan), at #6. Pale Wales’ fourth LP, Smitten (Dirty Hit), is on track for #7, while Maximo Park’s Stream of Life ([PIAS]) is expected to bow at #9.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, Carpenter's “Taste” (Island) could be #1 for a sixth week on Friday. But Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck, Babe!” (Island) is still at #2, with just 2.3k in sales separating the two.

“Timeless” (Republic Records/XO) by The Weeknd and Playboi Carti is fixing to be this week’s highest new entry, at #3. “The Door” (Warner Records) by Teddy Swims is up two to #11, and Linkin Park’s comeback track, “Heavy Is the Crown” (Warner Records), is up 51 places to #15. As tickets for Coldplay's 2025 U.K. shows go on sale, its “feelslikeimfallinginlove” (Parlophone) is up 13 places to #18.
