The Weeknd has revealed that Hurry Up Tomorrow is the title of his next album, which will complete a trilogy that includes the chart-topping After Hours (2020) and Dawn FM (2022). No release date has been confirmed for the XO/Republic set.
In an Instagram message, the artist born Abel Tesfaye shared such cryptic phrases about the project as "Yesterday was 14 years ago" and "I look in the mirror and feel both old and new." It ends by proclaiming, "When today ends, I'll discover who I am."
On 9/7 The Weeknd will team with YouTube for a livestream of a sold-out, one-off show in São Paulo, Brazil. Managed by SALXCO's Wassim "Sal" Slaiby and booked by CAA, Abel will donate 10% of net proceeds from merch sales to the Brazilian Soul Fund of BrazilFoundation, which supports area communities impacted by natural disasters and economic hardship.
Also on the books is The Weeknd: Nightmare Trilogy, which opens tomorrow (9/5) at Universal Studios in Los Angeles as part of the theme park's Halloween Horror Nights. Fans are promised "an authentic, one-of-a-kind horror experience with surprises at every turn" or, in other words, a typical day at the HITS office.
