A "TASTE" FOR DOMINANCE

Island currently has four of the top five songs—and six of the top eight—on the Spotify U.S. chart, with Sabrina Carpenter's newly surging "Taste" occupying the #1 spot and the artist holding three of the top four in her winning hand thanks to earlier smashes "Please Please Please" and "Espresso."

Labelmate Chappell Roan's "Good Luck, Babe!" sits at #5, followed by two more cuts from Carpenter's just-released Short n' Sweet, "Bed Chem" (#6) and "Good Graces" (#8). And there's plenty more Sabrina scattered throughout the Top 25.

Imran Majid and Justin Eshak's pistol-hot label (the company co-heads are pictured here with Carpenter) also owns half the DSP's global Top 10, with "Taste" at #2 and "Please Please Please" and "Espresso" at #4 and #5, respectively. Roan's "Babe" and Sabrina's "Good Graces" are perched at #8 and #10.

Carpenter likewise rules the Top 3 at Apple Music, where "Taste" is #1. "Bed Chem" and "Good Graces" have berths in the Top 10 on Apple's singles chart, and three more Short cuts are sprinkled throughout the Top 20: "Juno" (#11), "Sharpest Tool" (#12) and "Coincidence" (#17).

"Espresso," we note, is on Spotify's Songs of the Summer shortlist, alongside Roan's "HOT TO GO!"

How big will Short n' Sweet debut? Stay tuned...
