NO MAYBE: OASIS CONFIRMS 2025 REUNION

UPDATE: It's now official. Oasis will play 14 reunion shows next summer in Cardiff, Manchester, Edinburgh, Dublin and London as part of the Live '25 World Tour. We're told members of Noel Gallagher's band High Flying Birds will back the brothers on tour in tandem with guitarist Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs, the only other original members of Oasis who will be onstage.

“The guns have fallen silent," Liam and Noel said as one. "The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”

Tickets go on sale 8/31, with the shows being promoted by a combination of Live Nation, SJM, MCD and DFC Presents. The Gallaghers plan to play outside Europe later in the year but insisted in a statement that they won't visit Glastonbury "or any other festivals. The only way to see the band perform will be on their Oasis Live ’25 World Tour."

Either way, managers Marcus Russell at Ignition (Noel) and Sam Eldridge at UROK Management (Liam) deserve some kind of Peace Prize for getting this one over the line.

What’s the Story (Morning Glory), indeed—Oasis appear headed for a colossal 2025 reunion.

Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, who for 15 years reigned as one of the most successful U.K. bands ever, are working out plans for their first performances since a highly acrimonious 2009 split, sources confirm to HITS.

Nobody's talking on the record, although Liam responded cheekily to social media posts over the weekend as if the shows are happening, while Noel's social accounts advertise some kind of announcement at 8am on 8/27. A deluxe edition of Oasis' classic 1994 debut, Definitely Maybe, just happens to be coming out 8/30.

We're told the reunion would include enormous shows in London and the Gallagher's hometown of Manchester. Ten dates are on hold at Wembley Stadium, which would surpass Taylor Swift’s record-setting run of eight just weeks ago. The lager industry is already rejoicing!

Agency-wise, Oasis is expected to be represented in a 50-50 deal between Wasserman and Primary Talent. Could Glastonbury and/or Coachella come into play once something's actually confirmed?

Fans have had good reason to doubt a Gallagher brothers reconciliation, with Noel consistently dismissing speculation about a reunion for the past decade-plus. However, insiders say several roadblocks have since been cleared.

For one, Noel recently finalized a costly divorce from second wife Sara Macdonald, who often joined him in their public sparring with Liam. For another, several live-music execs have said both Gallaghers have rinsed the touring market on their own now and there isn’t much for them to do as solo artists. Indeed, Liam played Definitely Maybe in its entirety on tour for the first time earlier this year and last weekend headlined the U.K.'s Reading and Leeds festivals. Noel toured the world with his band High Flying Birds last year.

The rumors began heating up Saturday evening after Liam’s son Gene told a U.K. newspaper that his dad would like the reunion to happen. Noel also spoke in surprisingly complimentary terms about Liam during an interview with John Robb at Manchester’s Sifters Records, comparing Liam’s voice to “a shot of tequila” and his as “half a Guinness.”
