HOLLY GLEASON SNAGS SIX NATIONAL A&E JOURNO NOMS

Our own Holly Gleason is nominated in six categories for the Los Angeles Press Club's National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Awards, which will be handed out 12/1 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles.

Gleason was nominated in the Music and Music/Performing Arts Industry Feature—Under 1,000 Words for a HITS profile of Matraca Berg.

She also received nods in the categories of Online Journalist of the Year, Obituary/In Appreciation, Music and Other Arts Personalities for a Salvation South piece on Jimmy Buffett, TV Industry Feature—Over 1,000 Words, Personality Profile, Music Personalities and Commentary Analysis/Trend.

Other nominees include Variety’s Jem Aswad, Chris Willman and Owen Gleiberman, The Hollywood Reporter's Mesfin Fekadu, L.A. Weekly and Culver City News' Brett Callwood and the Los Angeles Times' August Brown and Stacy Perman.

Click here for the full list of nominees and here for tickets to the ceremony, which will also honor Melissa Etheridge, Tiffany Haddish and Entertainment Tonight co-host Kevin Frazier.

Sadly, HITS' 3,000-word love letter to the matzo ball soup at Nate 'n Al's went unrecognized.
