GOLDIE TO RECEIVE SEYMOUR STEIN A&R AWARD

Legendary talent scout turned indie-label chief Michael Goldstone will receive the second annual Seymour Stein Global A&R Award from MUSEXPO and A&R Worldwide. The award will be presented during the International Music Industry Awards gala on 3/19/25 at the conclusion of the 25th global edition of MUSEXPO, taking place in Burbank.

The award holds special meaning for Goldie, who, after making a name for himself as an A&R exec at MCA, Epic (where he signed Pearl Jam and Rage Against the Machine) and DreamWorks, spent several years working closely with Stein at Sire Records before founding Mom+Pop Music in 2009.

The Seymour Stein Global A&R award memorializes Stein’s legacy by honoring music industry executives who are making significant and important contributions. The inaugural recipient was Wendy Goldstein, president and chief creative officer of Republic Records.

The award was created by Sat Bisla, president & founder, A&R Worldwide/MUSEXPO; Sire co-founder Richard Gottehrer; and Mandy Stein, Seymour’s daughter.
