Longtime Carlos Santana tour director and manager Kevin Chisholm, who also worked for many years at Bill Graham Presents venues in San Francisco, died 8/10 after a short illness. He was 71.
Chisholm got his start managing production at such BGP locales as Old Waldorf, Wolfgang's, The Fillmore and Kabuki Theater. He began working for Santana and his wife Deborah in 1985, a role through which he oversaw the artist's roadwork and also served as a key career adviser.
Chisholm is survived by three children—including fellow music manager Ryan and his wife, Lisa—eight grandchildren and four siblings. A memorial service will be held on a date to be announced.
HITS sends our deepest condolences to the Chisholm family.
