Beabadoobee (pictured) is on track for her first U.K. Official Albums #1 with This Is How Tomorrow Moves (Dirty Hit), while over on the midweek singles tally, Chase & Status and Stormzy take the early lead.
The third album by the Filipino-born English singer-songwriter is the follow-up to 2022’s Beatopia, which charted at #4, and 2020’s Fake It Flowers, which peaked at #8. This Is How Tomorrow Moves was produced by Rick Rubin and includes the streaming hit "Take a Bite."
Elsewhere on the midweek albums list, Will Young is new at #2 with his ninth set, Light It Up (BMG). English blues singer-songwriter Elles Bailey could be set for her first Top 10 album with Beneath the Neon Glow (Cooking Vinyl), starting at #5.
Asake is another new entry, with Lungu Boy (YBNL Nation/EMPIRE) at #8. The first greatest hits collection from Calvin Harris, 96 Months (Sony), is predicted to land at #11.
On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, “Backbone” (0207/EMI/Merky) by Chase & Status and Stormzy, has entered at #1.
Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck, Babe!” (Island) is back up one to #2. Last week’s #1, “Guess” (Atlantic/Interscope) by Charli xcx f/Billie Eilish, is at #3.
“Kisses” (Atlantic) by BL3ss, CamrinWatsin & bbyclose continues its upward trajectory, rising one to #6 today.
JADE’s debut solo single, “Angel of My Dreams” (RCA), is back in the Top 10 after rising 10 places to #8 following the release of its S.A.D. Slow. Angelic. Dramatic. version.
Also moving quickly is “Somedays” (Solotoko) by Sonny Fodera, Jazzy and D.O.D, which is up 19 places to #12.
