The Summer Olympics in Paris have a theme song, courtesy of Ryan Tedder, Gwen Stefani and Anderson .Paak, who've teamed with Coca-Cola and Sony Music Publishing to create the anthemic "Hello World."
The track was written by Tedder and performed by Stefani and .Paak (pictured). Its companion video intersperses classic Olympics footage with shots of Stefani and .Paak singing in front of the iconic Olympic rings.
“It’s not every day you’re given the opportunity to write a song in celebration of the Olympic Games, and I'm grateful to be part of such an incredible collaboration," said Tedder. "The Games are an important way for all of us to come together and celebrate each other globally, and we wrote this song with that in mind. I grew up watching every Olympics since childhood so this is a lifelong dream. I hope this song inspires and uplifts."
Adds Sony Music Publishing President/Global Chief Marketing Officer Brian Monaco, who played an integral role in bringing the project to fruition, "Ryan’s songwriting in 'Hello World' embraces this collaborative spirit, and we look forward to bringing together fans and athletes alike and fueling their excitement with this song."
