Since its release by PULSE Music on 4/26 (not even three months ago), Tommy Richman’s “MILLION DOLLAR BABY” has more than lived up to its title and, in fact, just crossed the 1 billion global-streams threshold, more than 611m of which were on Spotify.
"MILLION DOLLAR BABY" had already enjoyed #1 status on Spotify global and U.S. It's also topped two genre airplay charts and last week was #6 on the all-genre Top 200 Song Consumption tally.
The Virginia-bred Richman, who blends R&B chops with a punk aesthetic, broke on TikTok with the help of a vibey, craftily packaged “VHS” version of "MILLION DOLLAR BABY."
The PULSE team (founders Scott Cutler and Josh Abraham and President Ashley Calhoun) inked him last summer in tandem with Brent Faiyaz and Darren Xu’s multimedia agency ISO Supremacy, with which PULSE Music has a JV, after discovering that Faiyaz had a connection to Richman.
