While most of us have been fixated on cable news, HITS’ in-house spreadsheet expert has been crunching numbers, resulting in the following chart. It comes as no surprise that Taylor Swift has notched the top three debuts of the last 18 months and change, with THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT at #1, followed by the Taylor’s Versions of 1989 and Speak Now.
Tay’s hat trick is just the tip of the iceberg for mighty REPUBLIC CORPS, which logs a stunning 12 entries in the Top 25 as Morgan Wallen and Drake join Swift in the Top 10.
ICLG, meanwhile, has accumulated a bounty of its own, with Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo and Eminem scoring Top 10 bows, followed by Jung Kook and Jimin.
Epic and Columbia round out the Top 10, thanks to Travis Scott and Beyoncé, respectively.
Turns out that one prominent member of the BeyHive is VP and now presidential candidate Kamala Harris, who, People notes, attended Beyoncé’s RENAISSANCE World Tour last summer and says her favorite song is “BREAK MY SOUL,” from RENAISSANCE.
“I just love that song,” Harris revealed. “I play it all the time. I think it’s one of the anthems for women… when she says, you could be life, you could be a person, you could be a situation. You will not break my soul. I can endure.”
Now, if you’ll excuse us, we’re gonna get back to CNN.
