Eminem is outselling his closest competition by a factor of 3-to-1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart, with The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) (Interscope) poised for a #1 debut and thus his 11th career chart-topper. The rapper born Marshall Mathers is also trending back to the top of the singles tally with "Houdini."
Elsewhere on the album roundup, Travis is at #2 in an all-new Top 5 with latest set L.A. Times (BMG). Griff’s debut studio album, Vertigo (Warner Records), starts at #3, while Cat Burns is at #4 with her own debut, early twenties (RCA).
Cigarettes After Sex could have a career-best with X’s (Partisan), which is at #5. Following a multiformat reissue, John Lennon’s 1973 solo album Mind Games (Calderstone Productions/Lenono Music) is on track to claim a new peak of #10. The record originally reached #13.
On the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart, “Houdini” has returned to the top after rising seven places. Eminem has a further two entries in today’s midweek Top 10: “Habits” at #5 and “Renaissance” at #6.
Meanwhile, Ice Spice and Central Cee’s “Did It First” (10K Projects/Capitol Records) is anticipating a #20 debut.
