NEVER BREAK THAT CHAIN: Stevie Nicks pulled off quite a setting-appropriate surprise 7/12 at AEG's BST Hyde Park in London, bringing Harry Styles onstage during the encore for her Tom Petty duet "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" and Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide."
The cameo was quite a coup for Nicks as Styles hadn't been onstage since the conclusion of his Love on Tour outing last year. Blimey—we can still hear the screams from lower Manhattan!
The artists have been close for years through Irving Azoff's long association with Fleetwood Mac and his son Jeffrey's tenure as Styles' manager through Full Stop. Indeed, Styles inducted Nicks into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist in 2019, 21 years after she was enshrined with the Mac.
VEGAS WIND IN THEIR HAIR: Speaking of Swirv, his Eagles have tacked on four more shows to their Sphere residency early next year, 1/17-18 and 24-25, bringing the current total to 20. Just make sure to caffeinate before you drive down that dark, desert highway, mmmkay?
Don Henley, Joe Walsh and cohorts will begin their stint at the next-level Vegas venue on 9/20, once Dead & Company conclude their ongoing residency on 8/10.
KENTUCKY STING-DOM: Sting has stepped in to replace the ailing Neil Young & Crazy Horse as the 9/19 headliner at Danny Wimmer Presents' Louisville bash Bourbon & Beyond, which will also feature Beck, Dave Matthews Band, Zach Bryan and hometown heroes My Morning Jacket.
Out this year with a power trio dubbed STING 3.0, Der Stingle has been playing a set split pretty evenly between Police classics and solo cuts. The artist will be celebrating his old band's Synchronicity with a 40th anniversary boxed set later this month. Sting is managed by Martin Kierszenbaum for Cherrytree Music Company and booked by CAA's Rob Light and Chris Dalston.
In other news, The Black Crowes have announced 22 headlining dates concurrent with their stint opening for Aerosmith's farewell Peace Out tour later this year and in early 2025. Dubbed the Happiness Bastards Tour (The Reprise), the road show starts 9/28 in Cincinnati and finishes 2/28 in Uncasville, Connecticut. Manager Mark DiDia will likely be looking for vintage Hartford Whalers merch nearby.
