ARISTA UPS PETROPOULOS TO EVP

Arista Records has promoted Nick Petropoulos to EVP, Promotion and Artist Development. He will lead the label’s artist-development strategy while continuing to oversee radio promotion.

Petropoulos joined Arista in 2021. His promotion successes include Grammy-nominated Måneskin, who hit #13 with “Beggin’” and reached #18 with their third album, Rush!; Beach Weather’s 2023 alternative hit “Sex, Drugs, Etc.”; Tai Verdes’ “A-O-K,” a #4 hit on the U.S. Rock chart; Paul Russell’s platinum “Lil Boo Thang”; and a Top 10 Rhythmic hit and iHeart On the Verge mention for rapper Skylar Blatt.

Said David Massey, president and CEO of the fabled label, “Nick has become an integral part of the Arista team over the last three years. His vision has been a crucial element in formulating and executing our promotion strategy.”

“Arista leads with an artist-centric approach that has led to many of our success stories in the last few years,” Petropoulos said. “I'm thrilled to take on this expanded role.”

Before joining Arista, Petropoulos spent 11 years at Glassnote Records, where he oversaw campaigns for Mumford & Sons, Childish Gambino, Phoenix and CHVRCHES.

No word yet on whether the label will reissue Minimum Wage Rock & Roll, the Bus Boys’ 1980 stunner and an office favorite.
