KALLING ALL KENS: In what will be his first live show since his highly publicized recent beef with Drake, Kendrick Lamar will perform a special Juneteenth concert, "The Pop Out: Ken & Friends," today (6/19) at The Forum.
Presented by pgLang and Free Lunch, the sold-out AEG-promoted event is one of the hottest tickets to hit the L.A. market in some time. Thankfully for those who struck out at the box office, it will air live on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch beginning at 4pm PT.
Lamar, who will be performing in the round, titled the show after a line in the chart-topping Drake diss track “Not Like Us,” which has rung up nearly 300m streams in only six weeks. That song is so far the last of a series of anti-Drake ditties from the Compton native, following “Meet the Grahams,” “6:16 in LA,” “Euphoria” and the fire-starting “Like That.”
Lamar’s last non-festival headlining show was in Auckland, New Zealand, on 12/16/22.
BIRDS OF A FEATHER: Tickets have been moving so quickly for the Eagles' just-announced upcoming Sphere residency that four additional shows have been added to the end of the docket on 11/1, 2, 8 and 9. Those dates go on sale Friday (6/21).
Don Henley, Joe Walsh and their fellow Irving Azoff-managed cohorts will begin their stint at the next-level Vegas venue on 9/20, once Dead & Company conclude their ongoing residency on 8/10.
