CAN'T CANCEL PRIDE: FLOWERS FOR BILLY, PLUS A STARRY LINEUP

In addition to serving as host, Billy Porter will be honored with the Elton John Impact Award at the fifth annual Can’t Cancel Pride, transpiring 6/12 at L.A.’s iHeartRadio Theater.

The laurel acknowledges Porter’s abundant advocacy on behalf of LGBTQ+ rights, racial justice, gender equity and the rights of marginalized communities. He will perform, as will Allison Russell, Ben Platt, David Archuleta, Meghan Trainor, Melissa Etheridge, Orville Peck, RAYE and Victoria Monét.

The benefit will raise awareness of and funds for GLAAD, SAGE, The Trevor Project, the National Black Justice Coalition, CenterLink and Outright International.

You'll be able to stream the show live on 6/12 at 8pm ET/5pm PT on iHeart’s YouTube and Facebook pages, Hulu, Revry and the Advocate Channel; it will also be available for on-demand streaming throughout Pride month.

Begun during the pandemic, when so many crucial fundraising events were canceled, CCP has raised considerable funds and reached millions of viewers in the ensuing years; last year’s benefit earned an audience of 23 million.

We hasten to add that many of the people mentioned above are also discussed in HITS’ forthcoming Pride special, curated by the estimable David Bender.
