SABRINA CARPENTER TAKING "ESPRESSO" TO SNL

Island's Sabrina Carpenter will be the musical guest on the 5/18 episode of Saturday Night Live, hosted by Jake Gyllenhaal.

Carpenter just notched her first global #1 hit with "Espresso," which topped Spotify's worldwide and U.S. charts earlier this week and currently sits at #1 global. The song clocked 9.8m worldwide streams on Tuesday (4/30), surpassing Taylor Swift's "Fortnight" f/Post Malone.

Rumors that the SNL installment will also feature a five-minute sketch in which Carpenter's manager, Janelle Lopez Genzink, explains how to spell her name could not be confirmed at press time.

In related news, Island co-bosses Imran Majid and Justin Eshak have now consumed enough "Espresso" to lead a spin class.
