RVSSIAN, RAUW & STARR GO GLOBAL WITH "SANTA"

Blending dancehall, reggaeton and Afrobeat, Rvssian's "Santa," featuring Latin phenom Rauw Alejandro and Nigerian breakout Ayra Starr, is making waves worldwide. The collab reached a new peak of #12 on Spotify global on 4/30.

Released on 4/4, "Santa" first cracked the Spot's global chart two weeks ago. The song is now #1 in seven countries, including Spain. In the U.S., "Santa" charted a week ago and is approaching the Spotify Top 100.

It's also exploded on TikTok, racking up nearly 500k creations in a few weeks. Alejandro's group dance video has 22m views on the platform, the Puerto Rican headliner showcasing his embrace of choreography, a rare skill for a male reggaeton star.

Producing cuts for the likes of Travis Scott, Feid, French Montana, Juice WRLD and Myke Towers, Sony Latin hitmaker Rvssian has developed a sweet spot for rhythmic anthems combining Latin and African textures.

Starr, who was profiled in last month's New & Developing special, just announced her sophomore album, out 5/31 on Republic. The Mavin-repped 21-year-old is among Africa's most prominent female artists.
