LAILA! AND SOUNDCLOUD MAKE IT RAIN

Seventeen-year-old R&B/hip-hop artist Laila! is making noise at—and with—SoundCloud. Since its release 2/23, her debut single, “Like That!,” has garnered 1.6m+ weekly streams on the platform. She’s on track to hit 2.7m streams globally this week, according to Chartmetric.

The producer-songwriter-artist emerged from Brooklyn's IIIXL STUDIO, which signs and develops NYC acts. SoundCloud, in partnership with industry veteran Sickamore, launched the JV in 2023.

Laila! is seeing big activity at TikTok and making inroads at Spotify, where her followers and monthly listeners have grown significantly. Meanwhile, global weekly streams for "Like That!" have increased by a total of 119% week over week on Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube and other such sites.

At this rate, Laila! may need another exclamation point. Stay tuned.
