Columbia R&B singer Saleka Shyamalan is hitting the big screen for a father/daughter collaboration on M. Night Shyamalan's newest thriller, Trap.
The film follows a father (played by Oppenheimer's Josh Hartnett) and his teen daughter (Ariel Donoghue) as they attend a Lady Raven concert—Raven is played by Saleka—the “center of a dark and sinister event,” according to the press release. The film will be accompanied by an album of songs written and performed by Saleka as Lady Raven.
Distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, Trap will hit theaters nationwide on 8/9 and internationally 8/1.
