STONES DOUBLE UP IN N.J., CHICAGO, L.A.

The Rolling Stones have added second nights at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, Soldier Field in Chicago and SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles to their 2024 Concerts West-promoted, AARP-sponsored Hackney Diamonds Tour, which starts 4/28 in Houston and wraps 7/17 in Santa Clara, California.

The trek also includes a rare U.S. festival appearance at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on 5/2.

All this comes in support of the recently released Geffen album Hackney Diamonds, which opened at #4 on the HITS Top 50 and topped the U.K. charts its debut week.

Speaking of live Stones, a Hackney Diamonds (Live Edition) featuring seven songs performed at October’s launch event at Racket in New York City will be released on 1/19. The two-CD set includes the new “Sweet Sounds of Heaven” with Lady Gaga as well as the classics “Shattered,” “Tumbling Dice” and “Jumpin’ Jack Flash.”

The star-studded affair features Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, original Stones bassist Bill Wyman and Paul McCartney. The latter plays bass on “Bite My Head Off,” a new lyric video for which captures the Stones in the studio.

Hackney Diamonds was produced by Andrew Watt, who has another big year in store in 2024 after manning the controls for Pearl Jam’s upcoming Republic LP.
