HAIL, SWIFTMAS: TAYLOR RELAUNCHES MERCH STORE

Unsure what to get the Taylor Swift (or Travis Kelce) superfan in your household this holiday season? Look no further than the Republic star’s newly relaunched merch store, which has been deluged with eager shoppers since going live on 11/13 (the site briefly crashed due to the demand).

Users arrive at a cutaway of the “Lover House,” which has a different themed room for all 10 of Swift’s albums. Clicking inside each reveals a host of unique merch specific to that era, including Christmas ornaments, hooded sweatshirts, picture frames, T-shirts and even night lights.

If you click on the red mailbox by the front door of the house, you can decorate a virtual Christmas tree in the style of any Swift album you choose, with more than 60 different ornaments, then blast your creation out into the world via your social-media platform of choice.

In other words, it's next-level merch and marketing. Just what we've come to expect from La Swift.

Tay spent two weeks at No. 1 on the HITS Top 50 with 1989 (Taylor's Version), which opened with the biggest sales week of the year—and her career—at 1.58m units. The album will drop to #2 this week behind Stray KidsROCK-STAR (JYP/Imperial/Republic). But don't feel too bad for the supernova, who will probably still have nine or so albums in the Top 50.

In the meantime, Swift will conclude the 2023 leg of The Eras Tour in Rio de Janeiro this weekend (11/18-19) and the following weekend in São Paulo. We do not know if she will be selling branded ingredients to make your own Reputation-themed caipirinhas, but we wouldn't be surprised.
