Tate McRae's first new single in nearly a year, "greedy" (RCA), was the second-biggest debut on Spotify—U.S. and global—this weekend (following fellow Canadian Drake), opening at #11 U.S. and #14 worldwide on the platform, where it's already surpassed 14m streams.
Co-written and co-produced by hitmakers Ryan Tedder, Amy Allen and Jasper Harris, "greedy" is McRae's biggest song debut yet, earning a spot on Today's Top Hits and climbing into the Top 20 in 26 markets, including Denmark (#1), Canada, Germany and the U.K. The pop banger is also scaling the Apple Music chart, where it sits just outside the Top 50.
User-generated content is likewise heating up for the song, with TikTok and Instagram Reels combining for 160k+ creations its opening weekend.
