Blue Beetle topped Barbie in the battle of the Warner Bros. “B”-movies over the weekend, taking in $25.4m.

Barbie’s $21.5m positions it to overtake The Super Mario Bros. Movie as the year’s biggest domestic release. Barbie’s U.S. box office is now $567m; the Super Mario Bros. Movie hit $574m.

Strays, the Will Ferrell/Jamie Foxx-voiced dog comedy, was the weekend’s top new arrival, grossing $8.3m.
