TAYLOR SETS DATE
FOR 1989 (TAYLOR'S VERSION)

Taylor Swift used the final date of her six-night stand at L.A.’s SoFi Stadium (8/9, get it?) to announce the release date of 1989 (Taylor’s Version). It will come out on 10/27, nine years to the day after the original was issued.

“Surprise!!” Swift wrote on social media. “The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with such excitement to announce that my version of it will be out October 27th.”

She called the album, which features the hits “Shake It Off” and “Blank Space,” her “most FAVORITE rerecord I’ve ever done.” It will also include five tracks from the vault.

Wednesday’s concert was the finale of the first U.S. leg of the tour, which is expected to pull in $1b (which would make it the biggest ever) when it wraps in the fall of 2024.

We're picturing the Republic Records staff awash in friendship bracelets over the next two months.
