MORE NEWS FROM EGYPT (UPDATE)

UPDATE: Live Nation has officially confirmed the story we broke—Travis Scott's Utopia event at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt is canceled. In their statement, Live Nation pointed out "complex production issues" as the straw that broke the camel's back.

Sources have confirmed Travis Scott's Utopia album event in Egypt, which was scheduled to take place at The Great Pyramid of Giza, has been canceled. Team Cactus Jack is working quickly to find another venue for the album event, as Utopia drops on Friday (7/28) via Cactus Jack/Epic.

A tall order from the start, we hear the Egyptian authorities were not willing to collaborate leading up to the event. Stay tuned to see where the event moves. Insiders say somewhere in the Middle East is the target.

In the meantime, Scott rolled out a trailer for a companion film to Utopia titled Circus Maximus, which will play in AMC Theatres across the U.S. starting Thursday (7/27). Find ticket info here.
