THE METAL GODS HAVE SPOKEN

Judas Priest will replace Ozzy Osbourne at the Goldenvoice-produced Power Trip, 10/6-8 in Indio, California. The Black Sabbath frontman was expected to perform alongside acts like AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Tool, Metallica and Iron Maiden but was forced to pull out due to medical reasons.

Osbourne confirmed the cancellation in an Instagram post Monday (7/10): "My body is telling me that I’m just not ready yet, and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-assed."

Priest had planned to tour with Osbourne in 2022 before the run was postponed due to the latter's health issues. The Rob Halford-fronted outfit, which was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last November, will embark on a European tour in spring 2024.

Power Trip will transpire at the Empire Polo Field, the same site used for Coachella and Stagecoach. Ticket prices for all three days start at $599 and can be purchased here. Now, if you'll excuse us, we're on another kind of power trip.
