MIC CHECK

National Music Publishers' Association President/CEO David Israelite will host the inaugural Music Investor Conference in New York Tuesday (6/13). The event will takes place at Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center from 9am to 5pm ET.

Speakers include music industry executives, financial investors in music catalogs and players in banking, legal and expert services. The RIAA's Mitch Glazier, Hipgnosis' Merck Mercuriadis, Primary Wave's Larry Mestel, Loeb & Loeb's John Frankenheimer and SoundExchange's Mike Huppe are among the many notables on deck.

Panels will cover topics like revenue analysis, sound recording and producer rights, valuation and legal issues, collecting society and key licensee perspectives, creator and creative service issues, banking and debt financing and the views of music company CEOs.

Don't worry—there will be plenty of coffee breaks. Sadly, we're told we're not allowed within 100 feet of the venue.
