Two songs from the Fast X soundtrack race up the Shazam USA Top 100, while the Biggest Mover owes its rise to that old standby Ted Lasso.
Michael Kiwanuka’s “Light” from his 2019 self-titled set on Interscope has thumbs wagging in the U.S. and the U.K. after a sync on the Apple TV+ soccer series.
Fast X, which grossed $67.5m at the U.S. box office and $319m globally its opening weekend, generated interest in two songs from the Artist Partner Group/Universal Studios’ soundtrack: YG & The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Let’s Ride” and Bailey Zimmerman & Dermot Kennedy’s “Won’t Back Down.”
Another beneficiary of busy thumbs is Marley Waters’ 2018 release “Baptized,” which appeared on Starz’ Power Book II: Ghost.
Bad Bunny’s latest single, “Where She Goes” (Rimas), is among the Biggest Movers without the benefit of a sync.
