TOP 50: MORGAN, METALLICA AND MORE

Morgan Wallen notches a seventh consecutive week at #1 on the HITS Top 50 as One Thing at a Time (Big Loud/Mercury/Republic) continues its extraordinary run. The 36-track set moved 167k in its seventh week, becoming the first album to hit 2m in activity this year. Could Wallen’s latest score 10 consecutive weeks at #1, as its predecessor did in 2021? Speaking of Dangerous: The Double Album, it holds firm at #5.

Metallica’s 11th album, 72 Seasons (Blackened), opens at #2 with 150k—the biggest rock debut since Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Unlimited Love a year ago. Pure album sales, spurred by midnight listening parties at indie retailers across the nation, accounted for 136k of the album’s first-week total.

TDE/RCA’s SZA and Republic’s Taylor Swift round out the Top 5 with SOS and Midnights at #3 and #4, respectively.

10K/Capitol’s Ice Spice re-enters at #16 with Like…? The EP received a surge in streams and sales with the addition of a new remix of “Princess Diana” featuring Nicki Minaj. Warner’s NLE Choppa scored the week’s second-biggest bow with his sophomore full-length, Cottonwood 2, at #21.

Streeting this week are new titles by BIGHIT/Geffen’s Agust D and Motown’s YoungBoy Never Broke Again.
