88rising, in partnership with THEBLACKLABEL, has inked South Korean alt-rock artist LØREN.
Ahead of his debut EP, Put Up a Fight (due 3/24), the up-and-comer is set to perform his first show in the U.S., at SXSW’s Tiger Den showcase, the festival's first all-Asian event.
"I've been looking forward to Put Up a Fight's release for a while now, and I'm thrilled to join forces with 88rising through the process. I'm a huge fan of their work, and I'm very happy to take part in their vision,” said LØREN.
The news arrives in advance of 88rising, Goldenvoice and The Bowery Presents’ Head in the Clouds Music and Arts Festival, which will hit New York for the first time 5/20-21, during Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. LØREN is in the lineup.
Transpiring at Forest Hills Stadium, this year's iteration also boasts beabadoobee, NIKI, Rich Brian, ITZY, DPR Live and DPR Ian, MILLI and XG. Peep the full lineup below.
Head in the Clouds begins its presale on 3/17 at 10am ET, with the general on-sale on 3/20. Fans can register here now. $1 per ticket sold will be donated to Heart of Dinner, a nonprofit organization addressing the food insecurity and isolation experienced by many Asian American seniors.
