Bizarrap & Shakira's "Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53" (Dale Play) has officially broken 14 Guinness World Records. Which may be a record on its own
In addition to becoming the most-streamed Latin track on Spotify in 24 hours (14,393,324 streams), "Sessions, Vol. 53" achieved the same feat on YouTube (with 63m views) and became the fastest Latin track to reach 100m views on the platform, as well as the most-streamed Latin track on Spotify in one week (80,646,962). Shakira now holds a total of 17 world records.
To celebrate the achievement, Guinness World Records Official Adjudicator Michael Empric presented the pair with certificates backstage before their performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Empric is notoriously camera-shy, so he dove out of the way before the historic tableau above was captured for posterity.
In other Shakira news, L.A.’s Grammy Museum unveiled an immersive "Shakira, Shakira" exhibit last week, decked out with videos, previously unseen footage, signature wardrobe pieces and more, all of which will be on display until 2024. You'll note that the show's so nice they named it twice.
We're told this website is also immersive but more in a being-lowered-into-a-tank-of-bongwater kind of way. In a related story, the entire HITS editorial staff is vying for "most joints smoked on a workday" honors.
