THE WEEKND NABS ANOTHER DIAMOND, DROPS LIVE VID TO "DIE" FOR

“Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)” by Republic's The Weeknd has been certified diamond by the RIAA. The lead single from the soundtrack to 2015's Fifty Shades of Grey, it also appears on his sextuple-platinum second studio album, Beauty Behind the Madness. "Earned It" has earned 1.3b+ streams on Spotify.

Following “Can’t Feel My Face,” “The Hills,” “Starboy” and “Blinding Lights,” the single becomes The Weeknd's fifth diamond-certified track, making him only the fourth artist to achieve that feat. It also earned an Academy Award nom for Best Original Song and scored a Grammy for Best R&B Performance.

In other Weeknd news, he's dropped an official live video for “Die for You,” which captures his performance of the hit from his HBO special, The Weeknd: Live at SoFi Stadium. The concert special debuts on 2/25 at 8pm ET. In a related story, Monte Lipman will be celebrating this milestone by getting an all-diamond grill.
