Backstage at the "Grammy Salute to the Beach Boys," there transpired an uncanny convergence as iconic pop vocalist Michael McDonald (seen at left), best known for his work with the Doobie Brothers, met industry stalwart Michael McDonald of Mick Management. As is ever the case when namesakes (or, as the Dutch call them, naamgenoots) are brought together, the moment was memorialized with a photo for a dreadful music trade publication. We should note that this pic was snapped by event co-executive producer Rick Krim, of whom, we are relieved to say, there is only one.
