SAWEETIE TO PERFORM SUPER BOWL CONCERT ON ROBLOX
Warner's Saweetie will headline the NFL's first concert in the metaverse during Super Bowl week. It'll go down in WMG's new Rhythm City community on Roblox and be presented by Intuit.
Saweetie will perform a family-friendly, fully motion-capture performance that will reach millions of fans. The virtual concert will promote a message of female empowerment.
Premiering on 2/10 at 7pm ET and re-airing every hour on the hour until 2/12, the event will be paired with a collection of digital items to be sold on the Roblox marketplace.
Said WMG Chief Digital Officer & EVP Business Development Oana Ruxandra, “As our ecosystem evolves, WMG is focused on building open, interactive and dynamic virtual experiences that deeply connect artists with their fans. We are so thrilled to be working in support of this event and incredibly excited to kick off our first concert in Rhythm City.”
The NFL, meanwhile, will launch "Super NFL Tycoon," likewise presented by Intuit, on Roblox Saturday (2/4). The league's gaming experience will allow users to live the fantasy of being an NFL team owner.
