LINKIN PARK CHATS NEW LP WITH AMAZON MUSIC

As their Warner Music comeback album, From Zero, arrives worldwide, Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda and Emily Armstrong sat with Amazon Music's Zach Sang to discuss the band's unlikely but already hugely successful reunion.

Asked how hard it was to keep the news secret for months, Shinoda replied, "The only thing that makes sense is that it didn't leak because people either liked us or respected us enough to not do that. I like my friends even more now because nobody went out and was, like, 'Yo, did you hear?'"

When the band first began rehearsing for live performances, Shinoda explained, "I hoped we'd set aside enough time for us to get this right," elaborating, "We were changing keys on songs that we played for 20 years. I had to relearn 'Breaking the Habit' from scratch practically."

Elsewhere, the pair talk about how they met, how Shinoda and late frontman Chester Bennington used to write lyrics together and how new drummer Colin Brittain was almost hired to play guitar instead.
