Arista artist Idman was raised in Kenya, Toronto and North Carolina and is now based in Los Angeles, so she possesses a truly global perspective. Even so, nothing could've prepared her for a conversation with HITS Editor in Chief Lenny Beer, who is stultifying in every time zone. Fortunately, Lenny can't talk and point at the same time, so his nattering ceased during this photo op. Seen wondering if this pic could run in Cash Box instead are (l-r) Quincy Jones Productions' Thomas Duport, Arista VP A&R/Co-Head of Urban Music Khris Riddick-Tynes, Beer, Arista boss David Massey, Idman and QJP's Jordan Abrams and Max Mason. Mason, as you will have intuited, is the brother of Neil Portnow.
