Arista/Sony Latin’s Måneskin is the embodiment of rock ‘n’ roll excess, and naturally its members assumed that their sold-out stop at L.A.’s Palladium on 11/7 would offer a delicious plunge into the very depths of American debauchery.
Instead, they found themselves in this photo with HITS’ own Nicole Ghapgharan, whose extensive dissertation on the personalities of her various squirrels was a level of excess the Italian stars had failed to anticipate. Fortunately, Arista boss David Massey and promo chief Nick Petropoulos soon appeared with gelato for everyone. Seen wondering if Marc Bolan had days like this are (l-r) drummer Ethan Torchio, frontman Damiano David, bassist Victoria de Angelis, Ghapgharan and guitarist Thomas Raggi.
In any event, this memorable date from the band’s Loud Kids Tour Gets Louder ’22 saw them cranking out chart-toppers like triple-platinum smash “Beggin’” and “SUPERMODEL,” as well as fan favorites like the gold-certified “I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE,” “MAMMAMIA,” Eurovision winner “ZITTI E BUONI” and their take on The Stooges’ strangely uncapitalized classic “I Wanna Be Your Dog.”
Måneskin, which is repped in the U.S. by Ron Lafitte’s Patriot Management, kicked off its Live Nation-produced North American tour last week and will make 24 stops before heading out on a rescheduled European jaunt in 2023. The quartet's recently announced third studio album, RUSH!, is due on 1/20.
