RIHANNA SCORES
SUPER BOWL GIG

Rihanna will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show, the first under the Apple Music banner, as confirmed by both the NFL and the Westbury Road/Roc Nation/Def Jam superstar on social media.

The quasi-religious annual sporting event will take place 2/12 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., with the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show telecast produced by DPS. Roc Nation and Jesse Collins will serve as executive producers; Hamish Hamilton will direct. Roc Nation will also act as strategic-entertainment advisers for the live performance.

"We are thrilled to welcome Rihanna to the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show stage," said NFL Head of Music Seth Dudowsky. "Rihanna is a once-in-a-generation artist who's been a cultural force throughout her career. We look forward to collaborating with her, Roc Nation and Apple Music to bring fans another historic Halftime Show performance."

"Rihanna is a generational talent, a woman of humble beginnings who has surpassed expectations at every turn," added Roc Nation founder JAY-Z, "a person born on the small island of Barbados who became one of the most prominent artists ever. Self-made in business and entertainment."

Whispers that RiRi would hit the coveted stage started earlier today but went into overdrive when she shared an Instagram post appearing to confirm the chatter. Minutes later, the NFL's Twitter account fired off the official confirmation, which read: "Let’s GO—@rihanna @rocnation #SBLVII @AppleMusic @NFLonFOX."

Said Oliver Schusser, Apple's vice president of Apple Music and Beats. "Rihanna is an incredible recording artist who's a favorite for many millions of Apple Music customers around the world. We're excited to partner with her, Roc Nation and the NFL to bring music and sports fans a momentous show—what an incredible artist for the inaugural Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show."

Fans can expect exclusive details and sneak peeks leading up to the big show via @AppleMusic on TikTok, Instagram and Twitter. For now, it's time to get to "work, work, work, work, work."
