THE B-SIDE
Neon Union (Red Street)
8/4/22

WHAT IT IS: Undeniable talent and a providential elevator ride with Jimmie Allen led to the formation of Neon Union, a duo composed of Leo Brooks and Andrew Millsaps. Now, the newcomers are ready to introduce their distinctive sound to country music. Displaying their versatility, the pair channel traditional George Strait country while mixing in elements of anthemic pop over 808 beats. Previously a semi-finalist for the Music City Song Competition, Millsaps placed first in the Merlefest Chris Austin Songwriting Contest, while Brooks, a former member of Pitbull’s band, has collaborated with artists including Lauryn Hill, Jennifer Lopez and John Legend. Keep an eye out for a Neon Union and Pitbull reunion track, with some Jimmie Allen added to the mix in the future.
