U.K. MIDWEEKS: BLOSSOMS BLOOMING

Blossoms are in line to secure their third U.K. #1 on the Official Albums Chart, while Future could see three Top 40 entries on the Official Singles Chart.

Blossoms’ Ribbon Around the Bomb (Virgin EMI) is ahead of Rammstein’s eighth studio album, Zeit (Virgin/Capitol), at #2. The 14th studio album from Thunder, Dopamine (Thunder/BMG), is #3 at midweek; it would be the group’s 12th U.K. Top 40 album.

Future’s I Never Liked You (Freebandz/Epic) is #4, which would be a career best. Bloc Party’s Alpha Games (BMG) is #6. And Reef’s sixth album, Shoot Me Your Ace (Raging Sea), looks set to land at #8.

The Weeknd’s Dawn FM (XO) has spiked 35 places to #7 following the release of multiple collector’s-item vinyl editions.

At singles, Harry Styles’ “As It Was” (Columbia) is on track to hold down the top slot for a fifth consecutive week.

While Future has three songs potentially entering the Top 40, it’s his collab with Drake and Tems, “Wait for U,” that’s sitting in the Top 10, at #8.

American Idol contestant Benson Boone may have his first U.K. Top 40 single as “In the Stars” (Night Stand/Warner) is #15. Sam Smith's latest, “Love Me More” (Capitol), is #35.
