STREAMING SONGS: HARRY'S "AS" KICKS ASS

Harry Styles' "As It Was" (Columbia) opens with the biggest weekly total of any song so far this year. In its first full seven days, the first single from Harry's House (due 5/20) collects 40m+ U.S. on-demand audio streams. This is the largest streaming total since labelmate Adele racked up 45m plays on "Easy on Me" for the week ending 10/21. "As It Was" is the first song of 2022 to be played more than 25m times in a single week, nearly doubling the year's second-biggest opening. At Spotify global, Styles finishes the week with around 78m streams.

Naturally, that lands Harry at #1 on our Overall Song Streams chart. Columbia also scores the week’s other Top 10 debut with Lil Tjay’s "In My Head," opening at #6 with 9.9m+ plays. The one-two punch of Harry and Lil Tjay leads SME to a 42% share of our chart. Performances from last Sunday’s Grammys power increases for tracks by Justin Bieber (RBMG/Def Jam), Lil Nas X (Columbia), Olivia Rodrigo (Geffen) and Billie Eilish (Darkroom/Interscope).
