AWAL'S REPRESENT BRUNCH: THE BIZ IN BLOOM

At AWAL's REPRESENT brunch celebrating and honoring Black women and non-binary people in the music biz, Capitol SVP Rebecca "Dimplez" Ijeoma joins artists Fana Hues and Starmaxx for this joyous photo, in which the three display the flowers bestowed upon them during the event (this gift was accompanied by a generous donation to a charity of each recipient's choice). The Women's History Month gathering, at Black-owned L.A. eatery Alta Adams, was hosted by AWAL Social Media and Creative Content Manager Jamilla Johnson, and drew praise from attendees from across the industry for its warmth and creativity. We would like it if someone gave us flowers, but for now we're happy just to dodge the tomatoes.
