NOISEMAKERS:
MARCH MADNESS

In our latest roundup, we present eight more stars of tomorrow from various parts of the biz whose dedication and effort make their superiors look good.

This week's entrants will also find their faces in our latest mag. And if they don't care about that (because why should they?), we're told the pages make semi-decent coasters.

Kiana Perry
Director, Marketing, Virgin Music Label & Artist Services

Perry oversaw the marketing initiative for Surfaces’ “Sunday Best,” which climbed into the Top 10 of the Top 40, earned 2.8b streams and was certified triple platinum. She also worked with Brittany Howard on the campaign for Jamie, the recipient of seven Grammy noms, including a win for “Stay High.” Perry’s now advancing salem ilese’s recently released Unsponsored Content EP and projects by singer/songwriter Anson Seabra and duo Ruby Red. An avid traveler, she’s visited more countries—20 and counting—than U.S. states. We’ve been to every dive in the Valley.

Zach Sang
Founder/Host, The Zach Sang Show

Sang’s path—broadcasting from his parents’ house at 14, becoming a Nickelodeon personality, hosting an FM radio program syndicated in 80+ markets—has crossed with those of Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Olivia Rodrigo, BTS, Billie Eilish (and many more), all of whom he’s interviewed. Upcoming guests: Lauren Spencer-Smith, iann dior and Pink Sweat$. This Gen-Z fave’s recent partnership with OBB Media and FANMADE to bring his show to Amazon’s Amp will further expand his multi-platform footprint. Sang also happens to be a former tap dancer. By comparison, we have two left feet.

Gabi Henriques
Director, Creative Sync + Sports Marketing, Capitol Music Group

Henriques helped attain ESPN tie-ins for Katy Perry x Alesso’s “When I’m Gone” and land a performance by Migos on the network’s College Game Day kickoff. Also in the win column: recent syncs for OTR’s “Midnight Sun” f/Ukiyo in Netflix’s “Movie Night” Super Bowl commercial and Willaris K.’s “Past Light” in the season-finale promo for HBO Max’s Love Life. In her high-school days, Austin native and UCLA grad Henriques played lead guitar in an all-girl band called Blush Therapy. We blush at the memory of our own high-school band, Trade Haxx (pass the Aqua Net).

Doug DeLuca
Manager, Lineage Music Group

In the last 18 months, former NFL music supervisor DeLuca signed four of his management clients to pub deals and saw his writer/producer Cambo—who’s had eight cuts with Doja Cat, including the gold-certified “Candy”—earn a Grammy nom for his work on Walker Hayes’ triple-platinum “Fancy Like.” Next: client engagements with BRELAND, Gayle, Bebe Rexha, Diddy, Anitta, Blxst and Jackson Wang, among others. DeLuca re-established the football program at the University of Vermont, which had been dormant for 33 years. We’ve been dormant for 35 years.

Hallie Anderson
Co-Founder/Rareform

Anderson was lucky enough to see Prince at Seattle’s Showbox at the Market (max cap: 1,130) back when she worked for AEG. Now, after nearly seven years with Mom + Pop, she and her Rareform partners are providing direct marketing, digital, DSP and release strategy to indie artists like Windser, Jesse Jo Stark, Ocean Alley and Obongjayar. In the last year Anderson not only launched a company but completed her MBA and adopted a puppy. “Not a lot of time for fun, but wine sounds nice,” she says. We skipped the launch, MBA and puppy and went straight to the wine.

Noah Broxmeyer
Director of Digital Marketing, Encore Recordings

Broxmeyer cut his teeth managing Long Island’s Jillian Rossi—whose “Give Me a Reason” accumulated 8m+ streams on Spotify—and influencers XoBrooklynne (10.8m TikTok followers), Sierra Kai (4.2m) and Audra Johnson (3m). The NYU alum and former RCA A&R scout is currently supporting Encore’s debut signing, Mike Dimes, whose In Dimes We Trust, led by “HOME” (10m+ Spotify streams, climbing the Viral 50-Global), dropped 3/8. Broxmeyer has seen every Marvel release on premiere weekend since 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok. He’s a rabid fan. We’re just rabid.

Krystal Allen
Product Manager, Interscope

Allen was in the audience for 2021’s Red Rocks-set Dreamville on the Rocks (J. Cole’s Dreamville is distributed through Interscope) and the live debut of R&B singer Jordan “Lil Baby Crush” Ward (ARTium/Interscope). She’s lately been paving the way for music by Ari “Pressure” Lennox, EARTHGANG’s Ghetto Gods and JID’s “Surround Sound” f/21 Savage & Baby Tate. Allen directs the kids choir at her church and is fluent in ASL, having studied to be an interpreter of live performance for the deaf. As regular readers will attest, we’re not even fluent in English.

Eddie Santiago
Latin Lead, Artist & Label Partnerships, Spotify

“Growing up, my favorite restaurant was Kellogg’s Diner in Williamsburg. Last fall we launched the ‘Multiverse of Jose’ campaign for J Balvin’s JOSE. We projected video at locations across NYC—including Kellogg’s,” says Santiago of his full-circle moment. He’s now focused on ROSALíA’s MOTOMAMI, showcasing the artist’s “moto”/“mami” duality via a special UV technology. Santiago, who’s held marketing positions with HBO and MTV, attended the same Brooklyn middle school as Jay Z, Biggie Smalls and Busta Rhymes. Us? We’re a bunch of middle-school dropouts.
