FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES & APPLE MUSIC

The single Lil Durk released on Tuesday, “AHHH HA” (Alamo), sits atop the Apple Music songs chart this Flipover Friday, while the iTunes Top 10 is awash in nostalgia: ’80s pop-rock and metal bands, pop-punks from the ’00s and a blues-rocker saluting one of the great bands of the ’70s.

Tears for Fears is in the lead-off position with their first album in 17 years, Tipping Point (TFF UK/Concord). Avril Lavigne’s seventh studio album, Love Sux (DTA/Elektra), is right behind at #2 and the Scorpions, who've been recording for half a century, have their first full-length in seven years, Rock Believer (Vertigo Berlin/UMG), at #5.

Dashboard Confessional slakes the thirst for turn-of-the-century emo, with All the Truth That I Can Tell (Hidden Note/AWAL) at #7, and the songs of Jimmy Page and Robert Plant populate Beth Hart’s A Tribute to Led Zeppelin (Mascot/Provogue), at #8. If that isn’t enough from the Wayback Machine, there’s also a new Judy Collins record, at #20.

Four other new arrivals join the Top 10. Metalcore band Bad Omens is #3 with The Death of Peace of Mind (Sumerian); Masayoshi Soken’s soundtrack to the video game Endwalker: Final Fantasy XIV I (Square Enix) is #6; and Robert Glasper’s Black Radio III (Loma Vista) tunes in at #9.

Kodak Black’s Back for Everything (Atlantic) rounds out the Top 10 and is the top new arrival at Apple Music albums, opening at #4.
