SISTER ROSETTA STRIKES A CHORD

Primo guitar maker Gibson, whose 1961 SG was famously hoisted by Rock 'n' Roll Godmother Sister Rosetta Tharpe, is celebrating this musical innovator with reissued axes, merch and a history lesson.

Sister Rosetta, who blended gospel fervor with blues bite and helped pave the way, as both singer and player, for the rock 'n' roll revolution, is profiled in the Giibson-presented video below.
