"WILLOW," TAYLOR AND SONG OF THE YEAR: A GRAMMY PRE-CHEW

Odd though it may seem, songwriter extraordinaire Taylor Swift has never taken home a Song of the Year Grammy. Could "willow," from her acclaimed Republic set evermore, put that coveted trophy on her mantle at last?

Taylor has won 11 Grammys over the course of her illustrious career, earning 41 nominations (five of them for SOTY).

Oh, by the way, "willow" has racked up north of 305m streams on Spotify and 89m+ YouTube views, which under no circumstances can be mentioned in a For Your Consideration ad. Shame on you for even thinking about it.

Taylor's tune is but one of several contenders we'll be poring over in our upcoming Grammy Chew examination of the contenders for SOTY and ROTY, so please stay tuned. We've got the corned beef; you'll have to bring your own coleslaw.
